Assassin's Creed Unveils Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a bizarre partnership that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Revealed
According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of banned ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden group.
The adventure centers on "bizarre tests and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Changes
The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who accomplish the quest will receive an exclusive katana in addition to numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
