Helicopter Spirals Wildly into Palm Groves at Frequented California Beach
A chopper flying over a well-attended California coastline unexpectedly started spinning wildly, finally descending rapidly and crashing into a row of palm groves as beachgoers observed.
Videos uploaded online depict the helicopter commencing to spiral above Huntington Beach then plunging in the direction of the perimeter of the coast, where it ends up lodged among palm trees and a steps adjacent to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Details
The Huntington Beach fire department said five persons were transported to a medical facility involving two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” after the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the pavement were harmed. Details on their condition were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
